This month, the Asynchronics team was on the move – from Washington, DC to Noordwijk – engaging with the global space simulation community and sharing the progress of our open-source simulator, NeXosim.
At SATELLITE 2025 in Washington, DC – one of the most established gatherings in the commercial space sector – we had the opportunity to connect with industry leaders and introduce our work to a broader audience. While this year Serge Barral and Adam Chikha attended as visitors, we’ve already secured our booth for 2026, where we’ll return as exhibitors and showcase our latest developments.

Later in March, we took part in SESP 2025, the Software Engineering and Simulation for Space Programmes workshop held at ESA ESTEC. This annual ESA-organized event brings together experts in software engineering and system simulation across the institutional and industrial space ecosystem.
During the event, our CEO Serge Barral presented the NeXosim system – exactly on the second anniversary of our company. We demonstrated new functionalities and emphasized NeXosim’s position as the only truly open-source simulator on the market – freely accessible and ready to use by anyone.

Our simulator was also featured in a presentation by Bahareh Vossoughi from the Institute of Space Systems (IRS) on the ROMEO mission, where she highlighted the practical value and capabilities of NeXosim. We’re grateful for the recognition and proud to see our work used in real mission contexts.
The workshop also gave us insights into the evolution of institutional simulation frameworks from ESA, Airbus, and others – helping us align our roadmap with the direction the industry is heading.
