Asynchronics Secures Pre-Seed Funding

WARSAW, JUNE 24, 2025: Asynchronics, the company behind the cutting-edge NeXosim™ simulator, announced on Tuesday the closing of its pre-seed funding round. The investment was co-led by deep-tech venture firm Sunfish Partners and early-stage investor Heartfelt.
A strategic moment for Europe: Europe’s ability to maintain strategic autonomy in space has become a front-page geopolitical issue. As global tensions rise and access to critical space infrastructure becomes a question of national security as much as commercial opportunity, the EU’s 2030 Space Policy has made sovereign, resilient simulation tooling a headline priority. By delivering a European-built, open-source platform for high-fidelity digital twins, Asynchronics is answering this call—and ensuring that engineers and mission planners on the continent are never forced to choose between speed, cost, and independence.
The new funds will accelerate the development of a pioneering digital-twin marketplace for the space industry. This platform will empower engineers and mission operators to build, test, and validate spacecraft systems with unprecedented speed and accuracy, using high-fidelity models based on the open source NeXosim simulator.
Founded by Serge Barral and Adam Chikha, Asynchronics addresses a critical challenge in the rapidly growing space sector: the need for faster development cycles and more reliable systems, moving beyond traditional, cumbersome testing methods.
“Modern spacecraft are incredibly complex systems, and the ability to simulate every component with high fidelity before launch is a game-changer,” said Serge Barral, CEO of Asynchronics. “This funding allows us to build the first-ever marketplace where developers and system engineers can source certified, off-the-shelf digital twins of satellite components. We are not just building a simulator; we are creating an ecosystem that will dramatically lower costs, reduce risks, and accelerate innovation across the entire space sector.”
Adam Chikha, COO, added: “This investment is the fuel that allows us to execute our vision. We’re scaling the team right now and targeting a public release of the marketplace in Q3 2025. Engineers will be able to select certified models, drop them into NeXosim and start running mission-critical scenarios in minutes.”
The investment from Sunfish Partners and Heartfelt provides not only capital but also strategic expertise in scaling deep-tech ventures. Both firms recognized the transformative potential of Asynchronics’ vision to create a new standard for spacecraft development.
Max Moldenhauer, Managing Partner at Sunfish Partners, commented on the investment: “Asynchronics is building the essential infrastructure for the next generation of space technology. Their open-source approach with NeXosim, combined with the power of Rust, is exactly what the industry needs to move faster and more collaboratively. We are thrilled to support Serge, Adam, and their team as they build a category-defining company.”
Henric Hungerhoff, General Partner at Heartfelt, added: “What impressed us about Asynchronics is their deep understanding of the core challenges in space engineering. The digital-twin marketplace is a brilliant solution that fosters a more open and efficient development process. We believe in this team’s ability to execute their ambitious vision and are excited to be part of their journey from the very beginning.”
With this pre-seed round, Asynchronics will expand its engineering staff, enhance NeXosim’s capabilities and onboard an initial cohort of hardware manufacturers and model developers ahead of the marketplace launch.
