❗ This is not a fully remote position. We socialize twice a week (or more if you dare!) at our Warsaw office.
🌌 About Asynchronics
We are Asynchronics, an up-and-coming, Warsaw-based space tech start-up specialized in the field of digital twinning for spacecraft systems and subsystems.
Our mission: democratize and streamline spacecraft design and ground validation with the use of cutting-edge simulation technologies. Our open-source, Rust-based simulator empowers system integrators and hardware manufacturers to evaluate their solutions in the digital world.
We value inclusivity and strive to foster a collaborative environment where diverse perspectives and experiences are celebrated. We strongly encourage individuals from all backgrounds and identities to apply. Your uniqueness is an asset!
💻 Your Role
We are looking for a senior engineer to build user interfaces for our enterprise simulation software, mostly desktop. You would work closely with Serge, our CTO and co-founder, our UI/UX designer, backend and simulation engineers. We need someone who cares about how the interface works for an engineer, but whose main responsibility is to turn it into reliable, maintainable software.
You would help us:
- Build cross-platform desktop user interfaces for our enterprise simulation software suite (Linux, Windows, macOS, in this order).
- Work with the UI/UX designer to work out how users should configure simulations and digital twins, run tests and inspect results.
- Connect the interface to the underlying simulation and backend systems.
- Make technical decisions about the UI codebase, reusable components, performance and testing.
- Try early versions with the engineers who will actually use them and improve what does not work.
- Occasionally help with the NeXosim marketplace or Asynchronics website where your skills would be useful. Your main focus will be the engineering software.
👱 This is You
- Strong experience building and shipping user interfaces for complex desktop software products.
- Strong programming skills in Dart/Flutter or Rust.
- The ability to own implementation, from understanding the workflow through to a working, tested interface.
- Good frontend engineering judgement and attention to usability.
- The ability to collaborate closely with backend engineers and work through technical constraints.
- A good eye for visual clarity and detail.
- Clear written and spoken English.
✨ Useful, but not required
- Experience with engineering tools, developer tools, data-heavy interfaces or software used to control complex systems.
You would join a small team where people have room to influence how we work and are expected to help each other outside rigid job descriptions. We do not expect you to arrive knowing spacecraft engineering. We do expect you to be curious about it.
💰 Salary range for the position
- PLN 16,000 – 20,000 net/month + VAT (full-time B2B)
